Little Havens Children's Hospice have asked us if any of our members would be interested in playing against their celebrity cricket team on 22 September at Gidea Park Cricket Club? The celebrity team so far consists of: Matthew Hoggard, Chris Cowdrey, Jason Gallian, Clive Lloyd (Umpire), Johnnie Irwin, Steve McFadden, Perry Fenwick, Cliff Parisi, Tony Clay, Ricky Champ, David Witts and Rudolph Walker (one of our patrons who is celebrating his 80th birthday).
It will be a T20, with the first innings starting at 12-2pm followed by afternoon tea which guests will pay to have afternoon tea with the celebrities and the second innings will be from 3-5pm. The public will be asked to make a donation on the gate to come along and watch.
They are asking for £120 per person for a place in the opposing team including tea, £20 per person to have afternoon tea with the celebrities or as mentioned a donation on the gate if you just want to come along and watch.
