LOUGHTON SUNDAY AFTERNOON CRICKET 2020

19 Nov 2019

Can all playing members please reply to me by email with the answers to a few simple questions on Sunday Cricket.

The Essex Sunday League AGM is on Sunday 8th December and we need to advise them if we are going to continue to play in the Sunday League.

There would be 9 games - 5 at home at our main ground at Loughton and 4 away. We can choose which weeks we wish to play.

This season we played and won 6 matches. One team conceded to us. But on two occasions we could not raise a team and conceded.

The matches are 40 overs per side.

It is an opportunity not only for 1st and 2nd XI players to play both days but also for players from lower XIs to play on the main ground.

The questions are as follows:

IF WE CONTINUE TO PLAY IN THE SUNDAY LEAGUE WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PLAY ON A REGULAR BASIS    YES/NO

IF NOT WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PLAY A FEW GAMES  YES/NO

WOULD YOU BE PREPARED TO HELP WITH ADMINISTRATION OR CAPTAINCY YES/NO

IF WE ARE NOT IN THE LEAGUE WOULD YOU BE PREPARED TO PLAY SUNDAY FRIENDLIES MOSTLY AT HOME YES/NO

IF NONE OF THE ABOVE APPEAL WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN INTERNAL CLUB SUNDAYS WITH SAY A T20 OR 100 BALL MATCH WITH THE BAR AND BBQ  YES/NO

IF ADULTS ARE NOT INTERESTED WOULD PARENTS AND YOUNGSTERS BE INTERESTED IN FUN MATCHES OF T20 OR 100 BALL  YES/NO

It is very sad that the ground is unused on a number of Sundays and if there is little or no interest we are likely to revert to hiring out to other clubs on Sunday afternoons
