All Stars 2.0 - Dynamos Cricket

11 Dec 2019

Please remember that All Stars Cricket is still a priority for us, we wouldn’t want you to drop All Stars in favour of the new Dynamos! It’s also important to recognise that Dynamos Cricket is not intended to compete with or replace an existing offer for this age group, it is aimed at complementing any existing delivery by offering an alternative for those children graduating from All Stars or new to cricket who might not be ready for full club/hard ball cricket.

An Introduction to All Stars 2.0 – DYNAMOS CRICKET!

  • Flexible 8 week programme for 8-11 year olds
  • Session run by a Dynamos Activator from your club/centre/school
  • Recommended 90 minute session
  • All session plans provided – warm-up, skill based drills followed by a game (Countdown Cricket, 6-a-side, 60 balls)
  • More money back to your club/centre/school (if you charge the rrp of £40, £25 comes back to the club)
  • Local and national marketing to promote the programme from the ECB
  • Free kit for your club/centre/school (see pic attached)
  • Children signed up get a personalised t-shirt (see pic attached)
  • £100 funding from the ECB to help with getting volunteers (when you sign up to SpaceHive an online crowdfunding platform)
  • Volunteers receive a free t-shirt, 20% off New Balance voucher & a free Hundred ticket
  • Manage your All Stars and Dynamos programmes in one place via ClubSpark

Girls Cricket

After the success of All Stars we think the Dynamos Cricket Programme offers the perfect entry route for girls in to your club. We are getting more and more requests for information on clubs that provide girls cricket but there just aren’t enough around the county within a close proximity to them.  We are looking for forward thinking clubs who are open to all and looking to increase numbers at their clubs to run GIRLS ONLY DYNAMOS. This is a priority for Essex Cricket, and something we will be focussing on. The female game is the biggest growth area and we would love to see small networks of U11 girls groups all around the county; are you one of the warm and welcoming clubs these girls are crying out for?

Benefits of more girls:

  • Increased revenue as families more likely to attend

  • More families to play in your other teams

  • New talent pool

  • Eventually more players for adult teams

  • More potential volunteers

  • Better social environment

  • Prestige for your club in supporting W&G development

  • More potential grant funding

  • A greater network/resource pool around the club to help with various events

Facilities & Funding

Over the next few years the biggest area of investment will be to clubs that have worked hard to support and grow women and/or girls participation.  With this in mind considering a sustainable girls section now will mean you are in a better position to apply for these.  Of course, having a long term development plan for your girls section is always a positive and proactive way of ensuring it is sustainable
