An Open Letter from the LCC Committee - Covid-19

11 Apr 2020

An open letter from the LCC Committee:

In these unprecedented times, first of all from all at LCC, we hope you and your families are well.

We are writing to you to update you on the club’s position at this difficult time. As you are aware, at this time of the year, we would be writing to you to pay your annual subscriptions in anticipation of the new season. Many thanks to those players and parents that have already paid and to the others that have also made donations on top.

Loughton CC is a non-profit organisation and all the income generated from our members goes back into the club to maintain our facilities and provide the community with sport. Many clubs across the country are feeling the financial pressures with the loss of income - we at Loughton CC are no different.

The committee is working hard on reducing costs and to safeguard the clubs future. The club, however, is run on a very tight budget, and the loss of cricket games is going to effect us massively. We are looking into all ways of injecting income through grants and schemes but, we also need to make a plea to our members too.

We are kindly asking, only if you have the financial means and are willing to support the club through this difficult period, to look to make a contribution to the club in the form of payment of your and/or your child's annual subscription. This money will be essential to ensure that the basic running costs of the club can be met.

As a reminder membership fees can be found on the website here;  https://loughtoncc.hitscricket.com/pages/page_23652/2013-SUBS-AND-MATCH-FEES-2013.aspx

We are very lucky to have such a loyal and dedicated membership at Loughton CC and the togetherness of the club is a great asset. We hope we can all pull together to get us through this tough period and continue serving our members and wider community for many years to come.

We still very much hope to see everyone at the Club before the summer is over.

With very best wishes,

Loughton CC Committee
