Dear all,
Whilst we gear up for the return of recreational cricket there will be a number of protocols in place to ensure all current government and ECB guidelines are met.
Please see the attached document from the ECB outlining the 8 guidelines in place for promoting social distancing cricket.
When we do eventually return to the field of play (which will be very soon!) we will expect all members to strictly abide by these rules to promote the safety of all of our members, plus all individuals of the opposition and and officials.
We are currently awaiting the green light from the Essex League with regards to what format of games will be played. For adult games we believe leagues will be split into 'mini leagues' to reduce travel time.
As soon as we get an official start date for 'competitive' cricket to resume all members will be informed.
In the mean time please liaise with your captains and/or team managers directly to provide them with your availability for the upcoming weekends.
